Connectors and other electronic components into the water in two main ways, the first is the external liquid penetration into its interior by the gravity of the earth's core, such as connectors without wire harness seals. The second way is water from the internal connection points of the harness (such as unprotected solder joints/crimp points/lap joints).
General electrical appliances in the work of a certain temperature, the internal air to form a certain pressure, when stopped working, the temperature drops, the internal pressure is also small, this will form a difference in air pressure, if the connector is poorly wire harness sealed, moisture will follow the gap between the multi-strand copper wire into the internal, resulting in functional failure. Therefore, the wet zone connectors are generally required to add wire harness seals.
