EPDM

EPDM is made by polymerizing ethylene and propylene monomer with a small amount of non-conjugated diene. The characteristic of its structure is that there are no unsaturated double bonds in the main chain of the polymer molecule, and unsaturated double bonds are introduced in the branch chain. Therefore, it has excellent weather resistance, heat resistance, ozone resistance, ultraviolet resistance, good processing performance, and low compression permanent deformation, and is the first choice for the production of sealing strips. At present, most of the materials of automobile sealing strips use EPDM as the main raw material.

According to the different parts and functions of the sealing strip, in practical applications, EPDM materials are added with vulcanization, protection, reinforcement, operating system materials and special endowment materials (such as colorants, foaming agents) to form dense adhesives (including black Glue and colored glue) and sponge glue.
