Classification And Application Of Rubber Seals

Rubber seals can be divided into the following categories according to the cross-sectional shape.

1. O-ring seals

A variety of materials such as fluorine rubber, nitrile rubber, silicone, etc., are widely used in a variety of machinery. Resistant to all kinds of petroleum-based oils and a variety of chemical media: can meet the temperature range of -60 ℃ - +300 ℃. Use pressure range from a few megapascals to tens of megapascals.

2. J-type skeletons seal

Used for reciprocating motion cylinder, cylinder in the piston rod or valve stem exposed to play a dustproof role.

Scope of application: TPU: construction machinery, general machinery, cylinders in various types of valves, etc. CPU: construction machinery cylinders, oil and gas cylinders with harsh working conditions. Material: polyurethane, nitrile rubber. Working temperature: -40～120.

3. YX-type seal for the hole

Mainly used for sealing the piston in the reciprocating hydraulic cylinder. Scope of application: hydraulic cylinders, general equipment hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic cylinders for construction machinery, and high temperature, high-pressure cylinders. 

Working temperature: 

TPU: -40～+80℃

CPU: -40～+120℃

Working pressure: ≤32Mpa. Working medium: hydraulic oil, emulsion. When the working pressure of the cylinder is greater than 16MPa, it needs to be used with a YX-type hole retaining ring, or when the cylinder is eccentrically stressed, it can play the role of protecting the seal.

4. YX-type seal for the shaft

Similar to YX type seal for the hole.

5. Moment type seal

Generally installed in the outer circle or inner circle of the cross-section of the rectangular groove to play a sealing role.

6. V-type seal

It is the axial action of the elastic rubber seal, used as a rotary shaft without a pressure seal. The seal lip has good mobility and adaptability, can compensate for large tolerances and angular deviations, can prevent internal grease or oil leakage to the outside, but also prevent the invasion of external splashing water or dust.

7. U-shaped seal

Similar in shape to the Y-type seal, commonly used in the manufacture of reciprocating seals in hydraulic systems. 

8. Y-type seals

There are fluorine rubber, nitrile rubber, chlorine rubber, and other materials of products. Widely used in hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and other industries. Resistant to a variety of petroleum-based oils, with wear resistance. The selection of different rubber types can meet the temperature area of -60℃-+300℃.
